CSSJ Communications |

The U.S. Federation of Sisters of St. Joseph sponsored its first meeting of CSSJ Communications Personnelat St. Joseph’s Provincial House, Latham, on June 25-27, 2007. The 25 participants discussed our shared global mission and ministry and ideas relating to our work together.
Mary Rose Noonan, CSJ (Albany) processed conversation on press releases, media relationships and creating a recognizable message. In addition, members discussed new ways of networking and sharing stories.

Kathy McCluskey, CSJ, executive director of the Federation,
facilitated the meeting and spoke on the connection between the communicators and the Federation, identifiable needs, active participation and connecting with leadership. Barbara Hecht (Baden) led a discussion on the ways in which we formulate and use public statements.
The participants were delighted with the warm hospitality extended by the sisters at the Provincial House and by the new space of the Carondelet Hospitality Center. The next meeting will be held in Latham June 17-19, 2008.
